Why J&M Aquatics ?

J&M AQ.
Why we're different !

At J&M Aquatics, we don’t just teach swim lessons—we develop strong, confident swimmers through a unique blend of high expectations, positive energy, and genuine connection. Our instructors strike the perfect balance of firmness, encouragement, and love, inspiring kids to give their best in and out of the water.

This approach leads to more than just skills—it sparks passion. Over 90% of our swimmers fall in love with swimming and go on to pursue it further through competitive teams, with many finding success at local, state, and even national levels. But competition isn’t our only goal. Our mission is to ensure every child becomes confident, capable, and safe in the water.

And yes—we’ve proudly made it our mission to phase out puddle jumpers. Our goal is to help every child become so confident and independent in the water that those floaty devices are no longer needed.

Splash-Worthy Reviews !

Fun Swim Lesson at SPRFC
“Jed has taught my three year-old daughter both safety and skill in the water. She is a naturally cautious kid and he has instilled her with confidence and love of swimming. She practices her strokes in the bath tub in anticipation of her next lesson. Jed is a warm and fun mentor, who can be firm without being unkind. We are so lucky to have found him and will be with him for years to come! I plan to start my son in lessons with Jed when he is old enough.”

How does it all work ?

  1. Complete the Registration Form: Start by filling out the registration form. Once submitted, we will contact you to confirm the best phone number for our weekly sign-up announcements.

  2. Weekly Schedule Announcement: Every Tuesday morning, we will send an announcement asking for your preferred day, time, and location for the upcoming weekend.

  3. Confirm Your Slot: Respond with your preferred day, time, and location.

    1. For example: "Jalen Hurts and Travis Kelce @1:30 PM on Sunday @ SPRFC." We will confirm your slot by Wednesday afternoon.

    2. If you do not reach out to us with your preferred slot time, we will assume you are away for the weekend.

    3. If you want to book the same session for multiple weeks, just copy and paste your previous message and let us know.

    4. Due to our pay-as-you-go format and the flexibility of enrollment, we need you to confirm with us every week if you are coming or not.

  4. First Day of Class: To make the onboarding process easier, you must complete the waiver and release form; otherwise, you will not be able to swim.

  • Lesson Duration: All lessons are 30 minutes long. If you prefer a 60-minute lesson, you can request it, and the cost will be double. For example, a 30-minute lesson is $40, and a 60-minute lesson is $80.

  • Skill Level Classes: We offer different skill level classes at the same time. If your children are at different skill levels, they can still come in at the same time. However, there might be instances where we need to stagger their lessons based on skill level. For example, if Jalen Hurts is at a much higher skill level than Travis Kelce, Jalen Hurts might swim at 2:00 PM instead of 1:30 PM with Travis Kelce.

  • Required Equipments:

    • Beginner and Intermediate Swimmers: Fins, goggles, and bathing suit.

    • Advanced Swimmers: Please bring your wet bag as if you are going to swim practice.

If you find any part of this process confusing, please do not hesitate to further explore our site, give us a call at 410-279-5449, or email us at jm@jmaquatics.com.
